Mary Ann Pellegrino Church, 63, of Warren, PA., passed into
eternal rest and peace on Wednesday afternoon, September 6,
2017 at her residence. She was born July 27, 1954 in Kane, PA., to
Angela Zucco Pellegrino of Warren, PA., and the late Anthony J.
Pellegrino, Sr. She was a longtime Warren area resident. Mary
Ann was a 1972 graduate of Warren Area High School and earned
her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management from
Robert Morris University in 1976. She was employed for 34 years
with Osram Sylvania as a division purchasing manager, a job she
thoroughly loved. She then devoted herself to working along side
of her father, in the family’s business, Pellegrino Foods where she
worked from the age of 5, she was involved in multifaceted jobs
within the business. Mary Ann was a communicant at Holy
Redeemer R.C. Church, and had a strong rooted faith in God, that
guided her life. She will always be remembered by her family,
friends and co-workers as a kind, caring, generous and loving
soul who always looked for the best in others. All who knew her
were amazed by her positive outlook on life and her generous
spirit. She was a strong influence on so many people, always
encouraging them and helping in any way she could. Mary Ann
will be greatly missed by those who had the good fortune of
knowing her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her
family and friends. She was always thrilled to host family
gatherings where she could do what she loved to do the most –
cook for everyone.
Mary Ann always described her life as absolutely wonderful.
In addition to her mother, she is survived and greatly missed by
her husband of 22 years, David R. Church whom she married
April 29, 1995 in Warren, PA. Together they shared a wonderful
life with many memorable trips throughout North America and
Europe. She enjoyed life and all its many blessings. She leaves
behind 3 loving stepchildren – Jennifer Church Ford and
husband, Chris of Cornelius, N.C., Ryan Church and wife,
Chelsea of Denver, CO., Dan Church and wife, Tracy of
Gunnison, CO., 4 Siblings – Angie Clopp and husband, Tom,
Anthony Pellegrino, Jr. and wife, Anita, Tom Pellegrino and wife,
Sally all of Warren, PA., Rose Willis and husband, Mike of
Carlisle, PA., 1 Aunt – Angie Pellegrino of Warren, PA., 6
Grandchildren – Ryder, Kodi, Leila, Ainsley, Austin and Brynn,
several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a cat she completely adored
– Abbey. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father, whom
she loved and adored, along with numerous aunts and uncles, all
of whom she considered part of the “greatest generation.” She
was a true American patriot and proud of her Italian heritage.
Throughout her life she displayed grace in every situation, real
compassion for others and a “heart of gold.” Those who knew
her agree that she is truly irreplaceable. The family publicly
thanks for the years of continuous care and support, Mary Ann
received from Roswell Cancer Institute and also for the care,
support and compassion received at the end of her life, through
Hospice of Warren County.

from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted
at 3:45 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Holy Redeemer
R.C. Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, PA., on Monday, September
11, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating,
assisted by Deacon Joseph Lucia. Interment will be in St. Joseph

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Mary Ann’s passing. She was a good friend to me when I lived and grew up in Warren, and she was an amazing person. I’m sure her passing will leave a void in many lives and in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She is in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m so saddened to hear about Mary Ann’s passing. I was a friend and sorority sister of hers at Robert Morris College (now University). I’m happy now that I took the time back in March, while visiting my brothers, to stop into the factory and say hello to Mary Ann. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
It saddens me more than I can express to hear of her passing. She was always a bright spot in my day and I will miss her. My prayers for the family.
