Marlene Franklin, 80, of Warren, PA., died Thursday morning, August 6, 2020 at U.P.M.C. Chautauqua, Jamestown, N.Y.

She was born January 4, 1940 in Port Allegany, PA. She was the daughter of the late William Manning and Loretta Shuey Pillar.

She was a 1958 graduate of Warren High School. Marlene worked several places over the years, retiring from Area Agency on Aging in 2012 after 20 years employment. She attended Grace United Methodist Church, was an active volunteer with the former Golden Living Nursing Home and volunteered at Warren General Hospital and Area Agency on Aging. Marlene is remembered by her family as a woman who had a very kind and loving heart, with a strong-willed spirit. She loved being a mother, wife, sister and friend to all. She always put others before herself

She is survived by her granddaughter, Samantha “Sam” Franklin of Cary, N.C., 4 Siblings – Deb Stuart and husband, Jerry of Warren, PA., Nancy Nicholson and husband, Ed of Erie, PA., Bonnie White and husband, Mark of Wesley Chapel, FL., William Manning of Panama City, FL., 4 Stepbrothers – Joe, Carl, Vincent and Thomas Pillar, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Franklin, her son, Scott Franklin, her daughter, Sherri Franklin Crissman, 3 Brothers – George, Jim and Roger Manning.

A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family with Rev. Allan Jones, Pastor of Cable Hollow Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
