Marlene LeTrent Peterson, 73 of Warren, Pa. died Saturday
afternoon, July 4, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on October 15, 1941 in Erie, PA. Marlene was the
daughter of Joseph James and Ethel I. Andersen LeTrent.
She was a lifelong Warren area resident. She a 1960 graduate of
Warren High School and earned her cosmetology degree from
Ora Jean Beauty School. She was a self-employed hair stylist and
was employed at numerous beauty shops, retiring from Warren
Manor Nursing Home Beauty Shop, after 20 years employment.
She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and Warren
American Legion Post 135. She loved being “Mimi” to her two
grandchildren. She was a great cook, decorator, enjoyed
shopping and sunbathing.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Peterson whom she
married September 26, 1964 at St. Joseph R.C. Church and
daughter, Marcy Anderson and husband, Jay, all of Warren, PA.,
2 Brothers – Richard Louis LeTrent and wife, Connie of Bedford,
PA., Thomas James LeTrent and wife, Karen of Sarasota, FL. 2
Grandchildren – Cara and Carter Anderson of Warren, PA.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant
stillborn daughter, Amy Peterson in 1969, a nephew – Daniel
LeTrent and a niece, Michelle LeTrent.
There will be no visitation hours observed. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be conducted at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600
Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., on Tuesday, July 7,
2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor of Holy
Redeemer R.C. Church, officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph
Lucia. Inurnment will be in Mausoleum of the Ascension in St.
Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do
so through Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Street, Warren,
PA. 16365 or St. Joseph Church Educational Center Fund.
