Margaret Lucia Piccirillo, 97, of Warren, PA., died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House after an extended illness. She was born in Warren, PA., on June 6, 1918 and was the daughter of Angelo A. and Clara “Carrie M.”
Nicotera Lucia. Marge was a Warren area resident her entire life. She was employed with the former New Process Company and former Betty Lees Department Store. She was an avid card player. Marge was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, former member of the church Catholic Daughters of America, Altar Rosary Society and was an active volunteer at the church.
She is survived by her 3 children – Carol Stone and husband, Harvey, Joan Swartz all of Warren, PA., Robert L. Piccirillo and wife, Jane of Homer City, PA., 1 Brother – Frank R. “Butch” Lucia and wife, Bonnie of Russell, PA., 2 Sisters – Maria Coppola, Elizabeth “Betty” Donovan both of Warren, PA., 7 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ward L. Piccirillo who died December 27, 1980 whom she married December 22, 1943 in Warren, PA., 2 Brothers – Joseph A. and James V. Lucia.
Friends may call at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA, on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 9:00am until 10:00am at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through St. Joseph Church Educational Center Fund.
