Lois E. Gelotte, 88, of Warren, PA. died Wednesday at 11:45 A.M. March 20, 2013 at Warren Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born August 31, 1924 in Corry, Pa. to the late Charles and Margie Sweet Abbey. She was a lifelong Warren area resident residing a short time in Chesapeake, VA. Lois was a graduate of Youngsville High School Class of 1942 and was employed with the Warren County School District working in the central office for 15 years, retiring in 1988. She was of the Catholic faith. Lois was a volunteer for 15 years at Warren General Hospital where she had over 2200 hours of service. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing over the years with her husband and friends. She is survived by her daughter – Betsy Levans and her husband, Fred, 2 sons – Steven Gelotte and his wife, Barbara all of Warren, PA., Thomas Gelotte and his wife, Frannie of Erie, PA., 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Gelotte whom she married October 20, 1945 in Warren, PA. who died February 17, 1997, 1 Brother – Clifford Abbey. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. when a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
