Leroy M. Hoffman, 61, of N. Warren, PA, died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Warren General Hospital.
Born on February 21, 1955 in St. Marys, PA, Leroy was the son of the late Vincent and Martina A. Emmert Hoffman. He was a graduate of Warren Area High School and was formerly employed in the housekeeping department at Warren General Hospital until 1988. Leroy was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Warren, PA. He enjoyed playing Bingo and going to auctions.
Leroy is survived by 2 sisters – Valery Hoffman of N. Warren, PA, and Maryann Heatherdale and her husband, John, of Ridgway, PA, 1 brother – Robert Hoffman of Rice, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by 2 sisters – Clara Chaplain and Margie Custer.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6-8PM with a vigil service to be held at 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA, with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA. Those wishing to place a memorial may do so to a charity of one’s choice. Valerie and Family, I’m so sorry to hear of Leroy’s passing. I remember him when he lived next door to my Dad in North Warren. I also saw him at a bingo game about 2007 when I was home from Massachusetts for a visit.
