Laurie K. Carlson, 67, of Warren, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, after an extended illness.
She was born in Warren, PA, on December 6, 1956, the daughter of the late John C. and Dorothy Hanson. Laurie was a 1975 graduate of Warren Area High School. She attended Cosmetology school and worked at Levinson Brothers in the salon. Laurie also worked for Sylvania and in retail at K-Mart and Publix. She lived in South Carolina for 18 years and enjoyed collecting seashells and sharks teeth on the beach, reading, watching football, music, and loved her dogs.
Laurie was a member of Covenant Methodist Church and loved spending time with her church family.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Hanson (Kathy); nephews, Matt Yeskey (Anna), and Ben Yeskey (Jody); great nephews, Josh, and Dylan; great niece, Morgan; cousins, Rosalie Feeny, Larry Hanson, Mark Cook (Karan), Kathy Cook, Diane Johnson (Don); and numerous other cousins.
In addition to her parents, Laurie was preceded in death by her husbands, Keith Apgar who passed in 1991 and Brad Carlson who passed in 2015.
A Celebration of Laurie’s Life will be announced and held at a later date. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
