Lance “Mike” Mohney, 91, of Warren, PA., died Tuesday evening, December 23, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital AHN, Erie, PA., after spending a great day with his family. Mike was born August 30, 1934, in Allegheny County, PA. He was the son of Walter and Edna Stark Mohney. Mike was formerly of Kinzua, PA. and moved to Warren in 1963. He was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School, where he was a member of the high school football team. He had served with the U.S. Marine Corp as a sergeant. He was employed with Penelec for 38 years, as a lineman and retiring from there as an electrical equipment operator. Mike was a member of First Church of God. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, L. Rochelle Ross Mohney, whom he married December 21, 1957, in Kane, PA., 4 Children – Lynn Rossey of Warren, PA., Jamie (Kathy) Mohney and Dennis (Bobbie) Mohney both of Clarendon, PA., Rodney Mohney of Jamestown, CO., 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Rex Rossey, 2 Brothers – Walter & Donald Mohney, 3 Sisters – Norma Bowser, Lois Walters, Winifred Klase.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Jake Babinsack, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA. When you’re in business, you have those customers that feel more like friends. Mike was
one of those people. Blessed with a rare wit and a friendly demeanor , I always enjoyed
our interactions. My sincere condolences go out to Mikes family.

I enjoyed watching football games along the fence over the years and many conversations with him asking about the wrestling programs in the county and at Warren school . I will miss seeing him and hearing his laugh at morning breakfast, my sincere condolences to the family.
