Karen Ann Williams Mazzu went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Karen was born October 7, 1955 in Little Valley, NY to the late Ebenezer Thomas and Edna Mae Ernst Williams.
Karen graduated from Little Valley Central School in 1973 and Jamestown Business College in 1975 with an Associates Degree. She spent her career as a bookkeeper and homemaker.
Karen was an active member of Russell United Methodist Church where she served many years as a teen Sunday School teacher, Christmas Pageant Director and Church Librarian.
Karen was passionate about baking for friends, church and family. She loved her birds especially her chickadees. She loved planting flowers and gardening.
Karen is survived by her husband, Thomas Charles Mazzu whom she married June 21st, 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Mazzu Knisley (Robert); two adopted grandsons, Richard Knisley (Anna) and Jacob Knisley; two brothers, James Hice (Odette) of Dunkirk, NY and Eugene Williams (Amy) of Olean, NY; nephew, Daniel Hice (Amanda) and great niece, Whitney Hice.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 3:30 pm at Russell United Methodist Church, Russell, PA. A picnic lunch will follow at Larimer Park, Russell, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Russell United Methodist Church, Russell, PA or Hospice of Warren County (John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence).
