Josephine M. Greenland, 71, of Warren, PA. died unexpectedly Sunday evening, February 3, 2013. She was born June 1, 1941 in Mayburg, PA. to the late Samuel J. and Stella Pisani Zaffino. She was a Warren area resident most of her life and was a 1959 graduate of Warren High School. Josephine was employed with the former Solar Electric and retired from Phillips Lighting Co. retiring in 1987 after 25 years employment. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. She is remembered with great love as a woman who loved being a grandmother and all children in general. She was an avid cook, reader and a dedicated fan of the soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” She is survived by her husband of 46 years James C. Greenland whom she married September 3, 1966 in Warren, PA., 2 Children – Michael J. Greenland and wife, Shari, Beth Redfield all of Warren, PA., 2 Sisters – Rose Curtis of Warren, PA., Carmen “Susie” Donisi of Jamestown, N.Y., 1 Brother – Ned Zaffino and wife, Dottie of Warren, PA., 4 Grandchildren – Jeremy Church, Nerissa Greenland, Aubrey Greenland, Macy Winicki, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother – Bruno Zaffino. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday, February 7, 2013 at St. Joseph R.C. Church at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
