Joseph “Jody” F. Guiffre, III, 58, of Warren, PA died accidently Tuesday, March 24, 2015 after being involved in an automobile accident. He was born May 1, 1956 in Warren, PA. He was the son of Joseph and Virginia Tannler Guiffre, Jr. Jody was a lifelong Warren area resident. He was a 1974 graduate of Warren Area High School and earned his Associates Degree in Mathematics and Science from Jamestown Community College.
He currently was employed for 15 years as a Data Security Analyst at Northwest Savings Bank. He had previously been employed with Bush Industries, Dahlstrom’s and BVQI of Jamestown, N.Y. He was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, was a 4th degree member of the Warren Knights of Columbus. He loved all sports, especially playing softball.
He was a true family man, family was everything to him.
He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Janet E. Gerarde Guiffre whom he married August 30, 1985, 2 Children – Jill Toto and husband, Stephen, Christopher Guiffre,
1 Brother – Paul Guiffre and wife, Natalie, 1 Sister – Virginia “Ginny” Greenwald all of Warren, PA., several cousins, nieces and nephews, his spoiled and much loved, Dachshund, Sadie Sue.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 4 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Paws Along The River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA. 16365.
