My wife Jan and I are saddened by the news of Joe’s death. Although we can not be present, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Joe and I have been friends for 70+ years and I have many fond memories of our earlier lives together in Warren. Although many miles have separated us since those days, our friendship has endured all these years. Joe was a true friend and I will miss him.

To the dangelo family, I’m sorry i cannot attend the funeral due to a commitment out of town. I always enjoyed talking with your dad ,as he used to cut my fathers hair years ago. I probably new him for 30 some years, when my father introduced me to him. I used to call him smokin Joe, and we would talk about local sports or wrestling, or he would ask about our family. My father recently passed and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Kathie and I are so saddened to hear about the death of my friend and former neighbor on Carver Street oh so many years ago. i have known Joe for close to 60 years. Joe would return from work at Sylvania where my stepmother, Mary, also worked and I would have the Cleveland Indians game on on our porch. Joe the avid Yankees fan would come up and sit on the porch especially if the Yankees were whipping the Indians (which they were more times than not). Our last few times when we returned to Warren, we saw Joe almost every time, and recalled our times on the front porch listening to the baseball games. Joe was like family to me and I will miss him so very much. I wish I could be in Warren to say “Goodbye” to my old friend and neighbor. May God receive Joe and give him everlasting peace and love.
