Jonathan “J.D.” Dunmire, 41, of Warren, PA., died at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturday morning, May 31, 2025, after injuries sustained in a structure fire. J.D. was born September 7, 1983, in Warren, PA. He is the son of the late Clifford Dunmire, Jr. and Sheila Dase Brecht. J.D. was a 2001 graduate of Corry High School and resided for there for 12 years. He was employed through Quick Staff, working at Mauser Packaging. He enjoyed reading books, wrestling and Indianapolis Colts Football team. He is survived by 3 siblings – Candace Lewis and spouse, Amanda, of Warren, PA, Daniel Brecht of Myrtle Beach, SC, Damien Dunmire and spouse, Cheyenne, of Avella, PA, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A private celebration of J.D.’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. I’ve bawled about you a lot lately. I hate that you’re not here anymore. Why do we always lose those that are we closest to first? The other day I was at Walmart using the wheelchair like I do every time I go to Walmart and some 20 or so feet ahead of me I saw some guy…..back of his head and instantly bawled because he reminded me that you’re not here anymore. I’ve known you for over 20 years and you were the last person I thought we’d lose so early. Save room for me when it’s my time to come we have some catching up to do.
