John Owen Feeny, 78, passed away Saturday morning, October 20, 2018 after a brief illness at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home. John was born December 9, 1939 in Grove City, PA. He was the son of Owen and Mildreth Lehman Feeny.
He served in the U.S. Navy with the Fighter Squadron Eleven, where he earned a good conduct medal. He was employed with the former G.T.E. Sylvania as a Plastics Molder for 37 years, retiring September 1, 1999.
He was an avid reader, enjoyed nature and his gardens. He loved to create beautiful gifts from his workshop.
John is survived by his wife, Rose, daughter, Shannon (David)Stevenson, 2 sons, Sean and wife, Linda, Patrick (Pammi), stepdaughter, Rosemari Carnahan, 2 brothers, Steve (Cheryl), Kevin, sister, Colleen (John) Whitney, 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Beatrice Feeny, 1 Sister – Mary, 1 Sister-in-law, Karen Feeny.
A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
