John “Jack” Acklin, 81, of Warren, PA, died Monday evening, August 9, 2021, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice Home, Warren, PA, after an extended illness.  He was born May 10, 1940, in Titusville, PA. He was the son of William and Mary Murdin Keien Acklin, Sr. Jack was a Warren area resident since 1958 and a 1958 graduate of Warren High School.  He was a truck driver and worked in the plant of G.T.E. Sylvania for 30+ years.  He and his wife were Harley-Davidson enthusiast. Jack was a member of Warren Eagle Aerie, Warren Moose Lodge 109, and Warren American Legion Post 135. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Florida.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sarah “Sally” Robbins Acklin whom he married May 15, 2004 in Warren, PA; 3 children – Scott Acklin and wife, Cortland of Prescott, AZ, Justine Kincaid and husband, Kraig of Port St. Lucie, FL, Kelly Marshall and husband, Cory of Prescott, AZ; and 2 stepchildren – Rick McKenzie, Jr. and wife, Donna of Port Angeles, WA and Robin Carr and husband, John of Waterford, PA; 1 Sister – Patricia Benson of Warren, PA;  12 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and his faithful and loving companion, his Morkie dog, Harley Jake.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son – John “Jackie” Acklin, Jr.; 1 Grandson – Jessie; and 1 Brother – William Acklin.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 6 to 8 P.M. and a funeral and committal service will be conducted Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev.
