Jeffrey Allan Goss, 61, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 after suffering a heart attack.
Jeff was born March 30, 1963 in Pittsburgh PA; the son of the late Richard and Gail (Kimball) Goss. Jeff graduated from Peabody High School in Pittsburgh and earned numerous certifications to include Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Jeff lived in Sarasota Florida with his wife of 35 years, Susan Davis Goss. Jeff and Sue were animal lovers and throughout their lives together rescued many stray cats and abandoned dogs. Jeff also walked dogs at the Humane Society of Sarasota County.
From a very young age Jeff knew he wanted to be a fire fighter and grew up to become one, retiring from the Longboat Key Florida Fire Department. Jeff loved being a firefighter and was an avid collector of miniature fire trucks.
Jeff’s favorite past time was to follow all Pittsburgh sports teams and he spent many an afternoon attending Pittsburgh Pirates spring training camp.
Having a kind heart, Jeff never hesitated to help a neighbor or someone in need.
Jeff is survived by his wife Susan; sister Wendy McCain; nephew Charles Darling; and brother John Goss.
May Jeff rest in peace and be welcomed into heaven with open arms by his parents and brother in-law Jock McCain.
