Jay R. Wilson, 45, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 15, 2021.
Born on May 10, 1975 in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of James E. and Sally James Wilson. Jay was currently employed as a supervisor with Targeted Pet Treats in Warren, PA, and was formerly employed as a wire plater with Osram Sylvania, and as a supervisor at Tobyhanna Army Depot. Jay was a longtime Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and played softball, darts, and bowled.
Jay is survived by his parents, James Wilson and Sally Wilson of Warren, PA; his wife, Misty Wilson of Warren, PA; 5 children – Breanna Michelle Wilson Strait (Dan), of Warren, PA, Morgan Paige Zaffino and Jena Claire Wilson, both of Youngsville, PA, Alexander Sanders and Emma Sanders, both of Sugar Grove, PA; 3 grandchildren – Jason Strait, Mia Strait, and Jesse Strait; 2 brothers – Kevin (Linda) Wilson of Kane, PA, Terry (Lorie) Wilson of Warren, PA, 1 sister – Jill (Marty) Chuttey of Fort Mill, SC; nieces – Paige and Rachel Wilson and Emily Wilson; nephews – Cody Wilson, and Nick and Ben Chuttey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jay was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents – Laurence and Beulah Wilson; and his maternal grandparents – Alfred and Lilah James.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing to place a memorial may do so to the Warren Athletics Fund, or to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Dept., 11 Wilson St., PO Box, 259, Sugar Grove, PA, 16350. I don’t know what to say my friend…..We didn’t talk alot over the last few years but we had the kind of friendship to where we always picked up where we left off. We rooted for the same football team, had the same cars back in the day, played thousands of innings of baseball together, and enjoyed many trips to Jamestown to stuff ourselves with pizza and waffle fries at Honest John’s. You will be missed my many people…take it easy up there big guy.
