Jay R. White, 59, of Warren, PA died Friday, July 18, 2014 at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born on March 19, 1955 in Augusta, GA he was the son of the late Randall Firth and Mary Jane Thew White. Jay was a 1973 graduate of Warren Area High School. He worked for numerous car and truck dealerships as a mechanic. He also worked for Quaker State Oil Company from 1981 to 1986. From 1986 until his retirement on July 1, 2014 he worked for Penelec. Jay enjoyed the outdoors and liked to go hiking. He loved his family and his walking companion, Tucker.
Surviving are his wife, Kim Heubach White, whom he married on April 22, 1978 in Warren, PA, two children, Jacob White and his wife, Andrea, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Heather White and her domestic partner, Shawn Watson of Pittsburgh, PA, two brothers, Spencer White and his wife, Mary, of Springfield, IL, and Doug White of Denver, CO, one sister, Darcy White of Lander, PA, 4 nephews, Phillip Heubach, Jesse White, Mitchell White and Ross White and a special great nephew, Tyler Heubach.
Friends may call from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. A Celebration of Jay’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 4-7P.M. at the home of Rick and T.C. Lyle, 700 Lincoln Avenue, Warren, PA.
