She was born in Kane, on December 6, 1987, the daughter of James R. Hahn and the late Brenda (Bedard) Hahn. Janet graduated from Sheffield High School and Pitt Bradford University. She was also a licensed amateur Ham Radio Operator; her call sign was KC3ERS. Janet was also a member of the Clarendon VFW Post 314 in Clarendon.

I never got the opportunity to really get to know you however, I was raised with your mom and I know she was one tough cookie.
When you see your mom give her a hug for me and your grandpa (Corky). They are sorely missed and you will be also.
