James W. English, 81, of Warren, PA., died surrounded by his family, on Saturday evening, October 10, 2020 at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice Home, Warren, PA. He was born December 1, 1938 in Warren, PA. He was the son of William LaVerne and Emma Johnson English. James was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1956 graduate of Warren High School. He was employed as a driver with the former Sunshine Biscuit Company and was a cable technician for 34 years, retiring from Atlantic Broadband. Jim was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, and Warren Archery Club. He had been a baseball coach for many years with the Warren Little League Baseball. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was very attentive to attending their sporting and social events. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne Heary English whom he married January 25, 1969 in Warren, PA., 4 Children – Greg A. English and wife, Beth of Warren, PA., Jim English and wife, Jody of Sugar Grove, PA., Bonnie Hannold and husband, Matt, Debbie Briggs and husband, Eric all of Russell, PA., 1 Sister – Wilda Rashid of Warren, PA., Jim had 10 Grandchildren, 9 surviving: Jordan English, Mariel English, Olivia English, Zachary English, Kaileigh English, Austin Hannold, Addyson Hannold, Hunter Briggs, Avah Briggs, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Connor James English, 1 Sister – Martha Baker.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 4 to 7 P.M. where CDC Guidelines will be enforced, face masks and social distancing will be observed. Public is asked to enter via the front entrance of the funeral home, if handicapped please use the ramp entrances. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., with Fr. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
