James R. Woodward, 72, of North Warren, PA, died at his residence, Saturday morning, July 11, 2020 after an illness since December 2019.
He was born February 20, 1948 in Greensburg, PA. Jim was the son of the late Robert and Betty Johnson Woodward. He was a Warren area resident for the past 32 years.
Jim attended Penfield High School of Greensburg, PA. He owned and operated his own semi-tractor trailer, working with numerous vendors including hauling for Broadway traveling shows, such as Cats and the Lion King. He has logged over a million miles driving commercially and was a member of the Million Miles Club.
He has traveled to 48 states and Canada. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.
Jim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Glass Woodward, whom he married May 1, 1991 in Ripley, N.Y., 3 Children – Jarrett M. Woodward and companion, Megan Geary of Warren, PA., Matthew Woodward and wife, Dennetta of Hunker, PA., Robyn Petrozza and husband, Scott of New Stanton, PA., 2 Brothers – Keith Woodward of Pottstown, PA., Larry Woodward of Greensburg, PA., 5 Grandchildren – Levi & Liam Woodward, Tyler, Isabella and McKenna Woodward, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
