Helen I. “Pat” Weimer, 90, of Pleasant Twp., Warren, PA., died peacefully and unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2019. She was born January 31, 1929 in Middlefork, PA. Pat was the daughter of John and Pearl Bailey Seifert. Pat was a 1947 graduate of Wilcox High School, Wilcox, PA. and was employed for 3 years with the North Olmsted Ohio School System and with Warren General Hospital Dietary Department for 14 years. She served as an active member of the Warren General Hospital Executive Board for the employee’s union from 1992 to 1994. She was a 50+ year member of Eastern Star of Silverbay, Minn., longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She served as a trustee for 6 years with the Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department where she also served as Vice President in 2011 and 1995. Active with Adopt A Highway program since 1992, member of the R.S.V.P. and a volunteer with Warren General Hospital.
Pat was a faithful bingo player and enjoyed decades of annual winter trips to Ft Meyers Beach with her husband. She was a loving and generous woman to all of her friends and family. Except for the last few years of her life, she was a vibrant person and lived a full and adventure filled life.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Judy A. Sanborn of N. Windham, CT., 2 Grandsons – Jonathon and Paul Sanborn, Betsy Sanborn who is married to Paul, and 4 Great Grandchildren – Grace, Lilly, Eloise and Russell Sanborn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Weimer, Sr., whom she married in Gulfport, MS in 1952 who died February 23, 2005, 1 Son – Paul W. Weimer, Jr. who died November 13, 2018.
There will be no visitation hours observed. Burial arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA will be in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery, Dubois, PA. It was with a great deal of regret I learned of Pat Weimer’s passing.She was such a wonderful.loving,generous person. Pat(and family) opened their hearts and home to you and really mad you feel welcome. Many week ends I was invited to their camp,and Pat always made me feel like part of the family. She will always remain in my heart and mind,I love you second mom,and now Rest in Peace.
