Daryl & Derek, I am so sorry to hear the news! Words cannot express how bad I feel, I have known your Mom since 1971! We shared some mighty fine times together, both at work, and outside of WTO, please let me know when the Celebration of life will be, funeral home has my email! You guys were 13 and 15, I watched you two become adults! So much history because of your Mom! Kitty meant the world to me! Two favorites sayings she used all the time come to mind, “oh for crying out loud” and “isn’t that just the berries”I left the paper in 1986, but you Mom and I stayed in touch all these years! You guys had two terrific parents! I will miss her terrible knowing she is not in my life anymore!
Derek and family: I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing; please accept my sincere condolences. Stay strong: I know you will.
In 23 years of working with Kitty, I always was greeted with a smile, never a frown. When there was a problem, her approach was, “Let’s fix this,” not “So-and-so screwed up.” She made my life better by her presence in it. My sympathies go out to her family.
Derek and family. Thinking of you at this sad time. May your lifetime of good memories help strengthen you and your brother’s families.
Our deepest sympathy to the McKown family for the loss of Kitty, who was a loving, caring, and generous woman who had a positive impact on everyone she encountered during her path through life. We are confident that her presence will continue to be felt by all those she loved and befriended, and especially by her family who have many cherished memories to hold on to and treasure. Both of us have lost our mothers many years ago, and never a day passes without thinking of them. It hurts not having them physically with us, but they are still with us in our memories and they visit us regularly in our dreams. Kitty’s love for you is forever….and you will continue to feel it and be comforted by it for the rest of your lives.
Sending our love,
Kevin and Ray
