Fred G. Ahl, 82, of Warren, PA. and formerly of Corry, PA., died Thursday evening, July 10, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital AHN, Erie, PA. Fred was born August 28, 1942, in Corry, PA. He was the son of Frederick W. and Mary Ruth Stanford Ahl. He has resided for the past 36 years, in Warren, PA. He was a 1960 graduate of Corry High School and earned his accounting degree from Erie Business College. He had served with the U.S. Army, as a Specialist 4th Class. He was employed as a cost accountant with Haysite Reinforced Plastics of Erie, PA., for 22 years and had also been employed with the former Deluxe Metals and Corry Hospital. In his retirement years, he worked with the Betts Industries Senior workforce. Fred was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, St. Joseph Cemetery Association Board of Directors and the Youngsville American Legion Post 658.
Fred is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan Ross Ahl, whom he married May 4, 1968, at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Corry, PA., 2 Sons – Robert Ahl of Corry, PA., Eric Ahl and wife, Laura of Warren, PA., 3 Sisters – Martha “Marty” Morton of Corry, PA., Diane Burdick of Titusville, PA., Judy Brown of Lake City, PA., 4 Grandchildren – Allison, Hannah, Zachary and Caitlyn, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Paul, a brother, Dan Ahl.
Friends and family will be received in the gathering space of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Mark O’Hern, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Corry, PA., where full military honors will be bestowed by members of the Clarendon/Sheffield VFW and Warren American Legion funeral honor guard and the U.S. Army personnel. Fred was such a quiet gentle man. Always so easy to talk with and be with and his family was all he ever needed to be happy. We loved him so much. We treasure our memories and will miss him so much.

I was visiting Judy and family when Fred fell ill. I want to express my deepest sympathies to the entire family. I pray that you find peace and joy in the many memories of Fred that you share. For those of you who do not recognize me by name, I am Judy’s sister-in-law.
Dear Susie, although we now live in Bedford PA near our daughter Elissa and her husband we keep up on Warren news and were saddened to learn of the passing of Fred.
