Frank P. Callan, 73, of Lander, PA., died suddenly Tuesday morning, December 24, 2019 at his home, after suffering an apparent heart attack. Frank was born November 18, 1946 in New York City, N.Y. He was the son of Frank B. and Florence Birch Callan. Frank was a lifelong Lander, PA., resident. He was a 1964 graduate of Northern Area High School. Shortly after graduating he had served with the U.S. Army.
He was employed with the former Struthers Wells Corporation, was a truck driver with Crossett, Inc. and other various trucking companies, and worked the family farm, raising dairy cattle. He was most recently a school bus driver with the former Decker Transportation, now known as D&R Transportation, and loved his little friends on E21.
Frank enjoyed going to the hunting shanty on the family farm and spending time with his grandchildren. He had served as a 4-H Leader with the 4-H Dairy Club for many years.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Deborah Gigliotti and husband, Tony, Laura Ahl and husband, Eric, 3 Grandchildren -Callan and Joseph Gigliotti, Caitlyn Ahl, all of Warren, PA., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, William C. McConnell, and his former wife, Lynette Rimmerman Callan who died March 12, 2011.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Todd Venman, Pastor of Wiltsie Community Church, and Rev. Mark Hurst, Pastor of Lander United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Foster Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by members of the John Gertsch Memorial Post Funeral Honor Guard and the U.S. Army. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Lander Volunteer Fire Department
