Frances C. VanVolkinburg, 84, of Warren, Pa. died Tuesday morning, January 28, 2014 in Warren, Pa. Daughter of the late John and Kathrine Pekor Cash. She was a lifelong Warren area resident. Fran was a 1947 graduate of Warren High School. She was a clerical worker with the former Bell Telephone Company for many years. Fran was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and the church altar rosary society. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her 2 children – James VanVolkinburg and his wife, Darlene of Washington, PA., Ann VanVolkinburg of Ocoee, FL., 4 Grandchildren – David, Emily, Nicole and Matthew VanVolkinburg, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack VanVolkinburg, whom she married at St. Joseph Church, Warren, PA. on June 20, 1953, and who died on August 22, 2011, 1 Brother – Johnny Cash, Jr., 1 Sister – Marion Cash Byer.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted Sunday at 5:45 P.M. by Deacon Joseph Lucia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, February 3 2014 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA. Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in ST. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
