Frances A. Suppa, 94, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Warren Cambridge, Warren, PA.
She was born January 29, 1927 in Clarendon, PA to the late Anthony and Mary Pulli and was a lifelong resident of Warren. She was a 1946 graduate of Warren Area High School and maintained close ties with fellow classmates organizing numerous reunions for the class. She was a member and active supporter of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Fran’s pride and greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends. Her home was the hub of many family gatherings and celebrations providing countless precious memories for all. The meal most often served was her delicious spaghetti, meatballs and homemade bread. She loved to sew, knit and quilt; in fact conquering crafts of any kind. The physical evidence of her love of home and her artistic talents was the creation of an exquisite doll house, an exact replica of her own home complete with electricity. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards and trips to the casino with a faithful contingent of friends. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Allegheny Community Center and bocce with the Warren Bocce Club. In fact, she was a tournament champion.
Fran is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Tempest of Melrose, MA, Charlene Hoffmann and husband Peter, of Warren and Mary Hanson of Fairfax, VA. She has two beautiful granddaughters, Francesca Louise Hanson and Anne Golden Hanson, who were the blessings of her life and three stepsons, Fr. Thomas Suppa, Danial Suppa, and James Suppa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Suppa and a son, Stephen Keyvinski. Also, preceding her in death were four sisters Lois Amico, Eleanora Suppa, Virginia Pulli, and Pauline Edwards. A brother, Dominic Pulli, regrettably died in World War II in service to his country
Friends will be received at the gathering space of Holy Redeemer Church, 11 Russell Street, one hour prior to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Stephen Schreiber, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Fran’s life hosted by her family at the Conewango Club.
Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Hospice of Warren County, hospiceofwarrencounty.org, 1 Main Street, Warren, PA. 16365 or a charity of one’s choice. It was with a great deal of regret we learned of the passing of Fran. She was a longtime friend of our family, and always enjoyed a visit from her at home, or in a restaurant over town. Fran always greeted you with a smile and a kind word. Fran will be missed but will remain in the hearts and minds of all that knew her.

Please accept our condolences with regard to the passing of Fran. I remember her and her fabulous cooking well from all the Suppa gatherings over the years. In more recent years I would see her at Bocce when going to watch my parents play or at the Plaza restaurant. Pete/Char:
You have our deepest sympathies for your loss.
Take care.
Cousin Fran — So sorry that C-19 came along and minimized your comings and goings. I remember coming from NJ to visit Aunt Julie and Uncle Carl Papalia and the first place we visited with our new-born son, Evertt, was to see Cousin Fran. So welcoming and we kept in touch over the past 40 years and our last memory of her was showing us the way to see Aunt Julie in “Rousch” home — Best Driver Ever! Will miss her and she is always in our hearts. God rest gently on your shoulders…
