Frances L. Fago, 99, of Carver St., Warren, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2022, in the Warren Manor.
She was born in Crosby, PA on April 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Domenic and Santa Sarcena Fago. She had lived In Crosby for 1 year, moving to Ludlow for 20 years and then moved to Warren in 1944. Frances was a graduate of Ludlow High School Class of 1942 and the former Ora Jean Beauty School of Erie. She owned and operated her own beauty shop from 1946 until her retirement in January of 1994. Frances was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dr. Paul G. Fago, John F. Fago, and Frank A. Fago.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2022, at 10:00 am in Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell St. Warren, with the Rev. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements. Frannie was such a wonderful kind caring woman and I’m going to miss her smiling face at The Warren Manor during my work day
I remember Frances when Iwas growing up in Warren. She used to cut my hair and my Mom’s. She always had a treat for me after my haircut.
I am very sorry to learn of my Aunt Frances’s recent death, although certainly impressed by her remarkable longevity, having outlived my father (Paul, her oldest brother) by 70 years. She was the last of our family still living in Warren, which is a source of true sadness for me. I appreciate the efforts made by those who prepared her obituary, and by those friends and former clients who attended her memorial service and have written remembrances here.
I remember going to her beauty shop many years ago when I lived in Warren. She was an extremely nice person.
