Flora V. Weidert, 86, of Warren, PA. died Saturday morning, May 4, 2013 at Warren Manor Nursing Home. She was born September 23, 1926 in Clearfield, PA. to the late Lloyd and Sarah Lawhead Morris. She has resided in Warren since 1946 and was a 1944 graduate of Sandy High School in Dubois, PA. She was a 1947 graduate of Spencer Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse and had been employed in the maternity ward of the Warren General Hospital retiring in 1981 after several years employment. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, she was an avid hunter and fisherman with her husband. She enjoyed reading, loved her husband, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She especially enjoyed traveling in her motorhome. She had served as a cadet with the U.S. Army during World War II. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert L. Weidert whom she married September 11, 1948 in Warren, PA., 1 Son – Michael Weidert and his wife, Clarissa of Newton, N.C., Michele Hoak and her husband, Dennis of Hughesville, PA., 1 Brother – Lloyd Morris and 1 Sister – Betty Illey both of Iverness, FL, 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 Sisters – Ethel Sikora and Martha Nelson. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:45 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, West, Warren, PA. with Rev. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C.
