Elsie Kay Pasquino, 83, a former resident of The Villages, Florida and Warren, PA., died Thursday, August 17, 2023, at River Park, Little River, S.C., at home peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Elsie was born September 19, 1939, in Erie, PA. She was the daughter of James “Yaokee” and Lillian DeBello Caruso.
Elsie was a 1957 graduate of Villa Maria Academy and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing license. She stepped away from nursing to be a “stay at home” mom to raise her daughters. Later in life she worked at Turners Appliances and along with her husband were part owners of the former Gilbert’s Restaurant.
Elsie was a former member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, FL where she was an active member at both churches as a Eucharistic Minister. Elsie was a former member of the Conewango Valley Country Club where she played golf and tennis. She was also an avid bridge player, enjoyed studying genealogy, cooking, and baking. She was always a very active person by taking walks and dancing.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph D. Pasquino, Jr. whom she married March 3, 1959, in Erie, PA. They were together for a total of 68 years. Also to cherish her memory are her 3 Daughters – Letty Marie Mead and husband, Matt of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., Alicia McTavish of The Villages, FL., Katrina Campbell and husband, David of Warren, PA., 9 Grandchildren – Meghan McTavish Thompson, Taylor Day, Mitchell McTavish, Jake McTavish, Brittany Massa, Griffin McTavish, Jena Massa, Matt Mead, Jr., Ethan Massa,
3 Great Grandchildren – Beck Thompson, Arlo Thompson, Shay McTavish. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Caruso, Jr., grandson – Jordan James McTavish.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA., at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA.
