Ellen S. Lawrence, 101, of Warren, PA., died Tuesday afternoon,
November 29, 2016 at Warren Manor Nursing Home after an
extended illness. She was born January 17, 1915 in Jamestown,
N.Y. She was the daughter of Herman and Ellen Carlson Nelson.
Ellen was a longtime Warren area resident. She was employed
with Marlin Rockwell and retired as Credit Manager from Sears
Department Store. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her daughter – Susan Robota and husband,
Edward of Tempe, AZ., son – Mark Lawrence of Warren, PA.,
Step-daughter – Barbara Hubner of Olean, N.Y., 3 Grandchildren
– Andrew Robota & wife, Trina of Washington, MI., Ashley
Robota of Chandler, AZ., Mark Robota and wife, Jacqueline of
Phoenix, AZ., step-grandchildren – Danae Schwatka of
Westampton, N.J., Daniel French of Little Valley, N.Y., several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-
mother, Olina Nelson, husband, Donald E. Lawrence whom she
married in April 1951 who died on April 7, 1984, 2 Sisters –
Nieme Brown, Margaret Liberg, 2 Brothers – Albert and Paul
Nelson.

East Street, Warren, PA., on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 2:00
to 3:00 P.M. when a funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M.
with Timothy Curry of the Jehovah Witness congregation.
Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Those wishing to place
