Elizabeth “Liz” Manfrey Steinkamp, 92, of Jefferson Hills, PA., and formerly of Warren, PA., died at the home of her daughter on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Liz was born July 1, 1928 in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of Frank and Santa Gerardi Manfrey. Liz was a longtime Warren area resident. She was employed with the former New Process Company and Warren General Hospital. Liz was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, the church altar rosary society, Catholic Daughters of America and the funeral luncheon committee. She was an avid cook.
Liz is survived by her 3 Children – Cheryl White and husband, Craig of Jefferson Hills, PA., Paul R. Steinkamp, Craig Steinkamp and wife, Cathy all of Warren, PA., 1 Brother – Joe Manfrey of Sunnyvale, CA., 1 Sister – Rita E. Grillo of Warren, PA and Las Vegas, NV., 3 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Steinkamp, whom she married August 6, 1949 in Warren, PA., and who died May 24, 1979, 2 Sisters – Josie Salerno, and Frances Rossman, and 4 Brothers – Frank, Sam, Geno, and Eugene Manfrey.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St., Warren, PA, on Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 11am until 1pm, at which time a funeral and committal service will be held with Fr. Richard C. Tomasone, Pastor of St. Joseph R.C. Church, officiating. Social distancing and masks will be observed. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family, I am so sorry about Liz. She was a sweet lady to talk to. I “met” her when cousin Bob Gerardi died, and also at our Gerardi Reunion a couple years ago. She sure had a lot of pep in her. My kids were very interested to talk to her as well. I am the granddaughter of Samuel Gerardi, her uncle. Much love and sympathy to you all.
