Elizabeth “Betty” Ross, 97, of Warren, PA., died Friday morning, July 20, 2018 at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warren, PA., after an extended illness. She was born February 14, 1921 in Erie, PA., to the late Jim and Irene Morarity Stearns. Betty was a Warren area resident since 1947. She had served with the U.S. Army WACS Unit during World War II as a Private. She was employed with the former G.T.E. Sylvania as an inspector for 32 ½ years, retiring in 1983. Betty was a past member of the American Legion Post 135 Ladies Auxiliary and the Women of the Warren Moose Lodge 109.
She is survived by her sister, Harriet Jackson, 1 Niece – Joann Reib, 1 Nephew – Harold Jackson, Jr. all of Pleasantville, PA.
A number of great nieces and great nephews also survived.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
