Eleanor F. Salamon, 92, of Warren, PA. and Lake City, Pa. died Friday, November 16, 2012 in Painesville, Ohio. She was born February 21, 1920 in Warren, PA. to the late Frank J. and Leona Adamkavitz Blastic. She was a lifelong Warren area resident.
She was employed as a riveter with Bell Aircraft during World War II and was a floral designer with Virg-Ann Flowers & Gift Shop retiring after 25 years employment. She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church and the church Altar Rosary Society. She was an avid reader and lover of music. Her family was the center of her life.
She is survived by her children – James Salamon of Mentor, OH – Sharlene Wojsiat and husband, Dennis of Lake City, PA., Sharon Marlene Koenig and husband, Greg of Palm Dale, CA., 2 Sisters – Mary Ann Rogers and Janet Carlson and husband, William all of Warren, PA., 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Salamon whom she married June 9, 1945 at Holy Redeemer R. C. Church of Warren, PA. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C.
