Edward Scott Rudolph, 85, of Barnes, PA, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House. Born on May 21, 1931 in Kelletville, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Edith Smith Rudolph. Ed was a graduate of Sheffield High School, Class of 1950. He was married for 63 years to Jacqueline Kittner Rudolph, who survives. Ed served in the Navy Reserve for 4 years and in the U.S. Army, 3rd Armored Division for 2 years. He worked at the National Forge in Irvin, retiring in 1994 after 33 years. He traveled to China, Belgium, and all over the United States for his job, but he always looked forward to returning to his home in Barnes. Ed was former owner of Rudy’s Sport Shop in Barnes and was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He loved vacationing at the Outer Banks in North Carolina with family and friends. Ed was a member of the Sheffield Vets Club and attended Barnes United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, James M. (Julie) Rudolph of Sheffield, PA, and Scott E. Rudolph and his significant other, Wendy Spicer, of Sheffield, PA, his daughter, Tami Silvis of Kane, PA, his brother, James G. (Lucy) Rudolph of Barnes, PA, his grandchildren, Justin (fiancé Ashley) Silvis of Kane, PA, Scott (Chelsea) Rudolph of Kane, PA, Patrick Rudolph of Sheffield, PA, Autumn Rudolph of Pittsburgh, PA, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ed is also survived by his Beagle, Lacey, and best friend and brother-in-law, Corky Slack of Sheffield, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Frank Rudolph in infancy, a sister, Valjean Slack and a granddaughter, Erin Silvis. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 6-8P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00A.M. until 11:00A.M., at which time funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Terry A. Teluch, Pastor of Barnes United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Barnes Cemetery.
