Edmond C. Christenson, 62, of Warren, PA. died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Golden Living-Kinzua Valley, Warren, PA. after an extended illness. He was born November 29, 1949 in Warren, PA. and was a lifelong resident. He was a 1967 graduate of Warren High School, where he was a strong track member. Ed was a disabled veteran, serving in Vietnam from 1967 until 1973 in the Marine Corp as a Corporal. He had served as a coach for softball and basketball teams, he enjoyed playing blackjack, poker and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by 4 children – Tiffani Christenson and her companion, Jerry Hammerbeck of Warren, PA., Domenique “Deannne” Grady and Marcel Grady both of Colorado, Jesse Grady of Warren, PA., 1 Grandson – Clayton Hammerbeck of Warren, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Otto and Natalie Romaine Owen Christenson, 1 Sister – Linda Lucas, 1 Brother – William Christenson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00AM Friday, June 29, 2012 at Praise Fellowship, 7451 Market St, Russell, PA 16345. with Rev. Rick Rohlin, Pastor, Rev. William Schneider, Associate Pastor, and Rev. David Fugate, Chaplain of the Erie Administrative Medical Center, all officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by members of the John Gertsch Vietnam Memorial Post funeral detail and the U.S. Marine Corp.
