Dorothy L. Reist, 86, of Warren, PA., died Saturday, June 5, 2021at the Rouse
Home, Youngsville, PA. after an extended illness. She was born July 27, 1934 at Whig Hill, Forest Co., PA. She was the daughter of Ernest and Anna George Berlin. Dorothy was a Warren area resident her entire life and was a graduate of East Hickory High School. She was employed for 30 years in the personnel department at the former Blair Corporation. She was an avid cook. She enjoyed traveling, gardening especially in her flower garden.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Albert L. Reist whom she married January 16, 1954, at Whig Hill, PA.
5 Children – Sherry Smith of Youngsville, PA., Robert (Bob) Reist and wife, Joan of Warren, PA., Tim Reist of Youngsville, PA., Linda Kasaback and husband, Gregory of Ludlow, PA., Cathy Yeskey of Youngsville, PA., Donna Lewis of Maryland, Helen Whitten of Warren, PA., 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers – John, Jim and Eugene Berlin, 1 Sister – Genevieve Rosenquist, 1 Granddaughter – Casey Reist.

My heartfelt sympathy to Dorothy’s family. I worked with Dorothy at Blair. She was very knowledgeable about her job, teaching new employees the ropes. She was kind & she was patient. Rest in peace, Dorothy.
