Donald L. Gaber, 59, of Clarendon Heights, PA., died Saturday,
July 4, 2015 at Warren General Hospital Emergency Room after a
long battle with Kidney problems. He was born July 20, 1955 in
Waterford, PA. He was the son of Gustave and Adele Davis
Gaber. Don was a Warren area resident the past 20 years. He
graduated in 1973 from Ft. Le boeuf High School, Waterford, PA.
He had served with the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed
gunsmith and was previously employed with Midtown Motors as
a mechanic and worked with Pape’s Collision. He was a member
of the National Rifle Association. Don was an avid fisherman,
loved his work on guns, and riding his 4-Wheeler. He especially
loved his German Shepherd, and Huskie dogs. He is
remembered for having an incredible sense of humor and a great
love for animals.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lori Jones Gaber whom he
married February 23, 1985 in Erie, PA.
2 Children – Chad M. Gaber and his companion, Ashley Wilson
of Clarendon Heights, Brianne D. Gaber and her fiancé, Devon
Baptiste of Saxonburg, PA., 1 Sister – Judy Brooks of Waterford,
PA., 2 Brothers – William Gaber of Clearwater, FL., James Gaber
and his wife, Marilyn of Waterford, PA., 2 Step Grandchildren –
Karma and Jenny Baptiste of Saxonburg, PA., several nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
his brother – John Gaber.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304
East Street, Warren, PA., on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 2 to 4 and
6 to 8 P.M., where a funeral and committal service will be
conducted Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. by Rev. Marcus
Briggs, Chaplain of the Warren General Hospital, officiating.
