Donald L. Fileger, Sr., 71, of Clarendon, PA., died Thursday afternoon, July 19, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, Erie, PA., after an extended illness. He was born December 17, 1946 in Warren, PA. Don was the son of Leon Ray and Daisy Bailey Fileger. He was a longtime resident of Clarendon, PA.
Don was a Private First Class with the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He earned a purple heart medal, national defense service medal, Vietnam service medal and Vietnam campaign medal. He was a member of the John Gertsch Vietnam Memorial Post, honorary member of the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department and a Past Chief of the Warren County Fire Police. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosemary Stuart Fileger, whom he married November 5, 1977 at the Youngsville Evangelical United Methodist Church, 3 Children – Donald L. Fileger, Jr. and wife, Jessica of Clarendon, PA., Dennis A. Fiscus and wife, Connie of Youngsville, PA., Betty L. Fiscus of Clarendon, PA., 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald W. Fiscus, 2 Sisters – Cora Sue Huya and Janet M. Schager.

Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. where a funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Collins Fyock, Pastor of Brown Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church, Youngsville, PA., officiating. Full military honors will be at Oakland Cemetery, conducted by members of the John Gertsch Memorial Vietnam Post funeral detail and the U.S. Marine Corp.
