Don G. Haslett, 88, Warren, PA., died Monday morning, February 21, 2022, at his residence. He was born November 10, 1933, in Halsey, PA. Don was the son of John G. and Selda M. Reynolds Haslett. He has resided in the Warren area since 1968. Don was a 1951 graduate of Mt. Jewett High School. He had served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. Don was employed as an insurance agent with American General Life Insurance Company. He was their associate manager from 1968 until 1981, retiring from there after many years employment. He was a member of First Church of God where he served as Vice-Chairman of the church, was a Sunday School Teacher and served on numerous committees. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Don was a member of the National Underwriters Association. Don was a true family man, his wife, children, and grandchildren were the center of who Don truly was. He would do anything for anyone and would not want any recognition for his tasks.
Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janet Campbell Haslett, whom he married January 12, 1957, in Kane, PA.

Kim Smartt of Trenton, GA., Kathy Jimerson and husband, John of Lakewood, N.Y., 1 Granddaughter whom he raised, Sherry Brzezinski and her husband, Tyler of Youngsville, PA., 1 Sister – Kay Nogar of Parma, OH., 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Victoria “Tori” Haslett.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 5 to 7 P.M. and on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at First Church of God, 1111 Madison Avenue, Warren, PA., from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by a funeral and committal service with Rev. David Hart, retired and former pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Gibbs Hill Cemetery, Ludlow, PA. Sherry is a part of his legacy, and she is a great testimony to his love for Jesus and his love for others.
Don was a wonderful Christian man. I always looked up to Don for his knowledge of the Bible and his compassion for people . Everyone was important in Dons eyes. He meant a lot in my life I know don heard those words enter into my kingdom You have been a good and faithful servant

Don was a very special guy. He always had a big fatherly hug for me every time I came home to Warren. He was a good Christian leader, and loved to serve the Lord. He will be greatly missed.
Sherry’s love for her grandfather is a result of the positive impact he made on her life.
Her faith in God and her witnessing to others is a testimony of her love for both God and her grandfather.
