Deborah “Debbie” Rickerson Ames, 70, of Warren, passed away on Friday December 9, 2022, in AHN, St Vincent’s Hospital, Erie, PA.
She was born in Warren, PA on April 26, 1952, the daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary Elizabeth Andersen Rickerson. Debbie was a graduate of Warren High School Class of 1970. On August 4, 1973, she married the love of her life, Mr. Craig Ames in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Warren, and they spent 50 years together. Debbie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Warren. She was employed for many years as a Deputy Registrar for the PA Department of Vital Statistics.

Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially around the holidays, she enjoyed journaling, flowers, and had a love for shopping.

She is survived by her loving husband, Craig R. Ames of Warren, four children Jason C. Ames, of Seattle, WA, Christina Ames Caplan and husband Brian of Denver, CO, Alexis D. Ames of Denver, CO, and Jayden E. Ames and her boyfriend Carter Borland, of Warren; seven grandchildren; two sisters Lisa Grinnell and husband Gregg, and Tina Rickerson all of Tiona, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Rickerson and Robert C. “Fluff” Rickerson.

Friends may call the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St. Warren, PA on Tuesday December 13, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
