Wally – I felt bad letting you go on and on about the need for sponsors like the Warren County Visitors Bureau for the Fourth of July parade but you were so passionate about the cause that I didn’t want to interrupt and simply ask, “How much do you need from us?” Your family and the Warren community lost a very good man…well done, Sir. Well done.
Dear Polly(my adopted sister!) There isn’t enough space on this page to share all of my thoughts, so I’l keep it to a few…….. Both you and Wally were God’s gift to me! I believe with every fiber of my being, that He orchestrated our meeting, which started when we began working at the paper together. Then he introduced me to you, and we have been inseparable ever since, only ever a thought away!
Wally just had that way of making you feel like you truly mattered. He was more than an encourager, he was a motivator, a team player, but more importantly, a very precious Friend! Wally was the guy that could “make it happen.” When others only saw the problem, Wally saw a solution, and encouraged others to see it too! I am beyond grateful to have known him. I loved him like a brother, and will miss his great laugh and charismatic personality. Wally Post, you were an impeccable man, greatly loved and forever missed! With much love, Cathy
Polly, Wally was truly a special man. His giving spirit and drive kept Warren’s 4th of July parade one of the best in the country. He will be greatly missed.
Now here was a great man, a friend, a character like no other, a funny guy when you wanted a joke, a serious guy when you needed help. I remember coming to your birthday party at the Marine Club. What a great time we had . You were MR BINGO to many people when you were able to do it. I knew you loved me Wally like I loved you. We shared the same building at the Kinzua health center. RIP buddy to one of the greatest that I ever met. Until we meet again. Polly will be so lonely without her hubby. Say Hi to my son Mark on high. Play him a game of pool. You both are HALL OF FAMERS in my book.
To Polly and her family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost Ingrid in December of 2022 and know what you will be going through. Losing the love of your life is the hardest thing in life to go through. Wally was indeed a good person. I give you my phone number in case you ever feel you need to talk to someone. God Bless. Sorry for your Loss
Polly, family, and friends,
Wally will long be remembered for the contributions made to our town, especially regarding the Jaycees and the 4th of July. Heartfelt condolences to you all.
Every day I go by your house while on my way to somewhere I always picture Wally and Polly., and think of Wally’s brother Will who I went to school with. I remember you guys living up the alley off of Madison along with events in our lives we had together. Gone from here but with God now. What a pair of icons you were to everyone. Praying for you Polly and the family
