I am going to do this in the spirit of me being so very grateful that Dave was part of my life. How could I be so lucky? An 18 year old boy from New Britain, Connecticut….travelling 500 miles to Erie…and homesick the moment I got there. Only to open the door of my dormroom to see and meet Dave with that infectious smile, and eyes that lit up expressing an incredible energy for life. There are so many experiences at that time of life….new, positive and exciting…..and new and stupid. But that’s what college is for. And what better person than Dave to grow and share it with….as dorm mates, fraternity brothers, and apartment roommates. We tried to evolve from boys to young men…and I think we did..but sometimes it was 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards……but lucky I was to take so many of those steps with Dave. I will mis him ….. but never forget him.
Mark, Dave cherished your friendship. Thank you, Sandi

So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. We were in the same DSP pledge class, at the time, the largest DSP had. RIP

It was great to see Dave at the Sig golf outing a few years back. He was a few years behind me at Gannon, but couldn’t help knowing who he was. So sorry to hear of his passing. Good wishes to the family and hope your memories help at this time. Rest in Peace, Brother.

Sandi- condolences on the loss of your brother. We will pray for peace, comfort and strength during this time. May precious memories bring you joy.
My condolences to Dave’s family members. I got to know Dave these past 6 years after I purchased property right next to him. Dave made me feel welcome right off the bat, and I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor and friend. From sharing food or snacks to helping me get a deer out of the woods with his 4×4, or letting me borrow some tool I had forgotten or didn’t have, Dave was always willing to lend me a helping hand. I am forever grateful to have known him and will miss him tremendously. Rest in peace my friend.
Ouch! He will be missed; I prayed for him daily and will continue.
Rest in peace brother.
I have many fond memories of spending time in the summer with my Butler cousins. It was great to have cousins my age.
I am sorry for the loss of your dad and brother.
I was in tears when Keith emailed me that Wally had died when the five friends were going to be together for Wally’s birthday this coming Saturday, now a time to pay tribute to him. Our family loved your family, and I personally remember trekking to and from the bus stop, studying together, playing together, partying together, etc. Also, I was so happy that your mother wanted to come to Lititz to visit my mom after her move here. So many years have passed, but treasured memories remain. Sending the family love and prayers and well wishes. May sweet Wally rest in peace.
With heartfelt sympathy,
