David A. Muroski, 79, of Warren, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Warren, PA. Born on January 9, 1941 in Kane, PA, he was the son of the late Bernard and Helen Wykoff Muroski.
David graduated from high school in Austin, PA, in 1957. He then enlisted with the U.S. Navy and served for 6 years. After his discharge he worked in Texas, New Jersey and eventually moving to Warren, PA, where he worked for GTE Sylvania, retiring in 2000. David was also employed for 26 years as a Deputy Game Protector.
He loved his family and especially enjoyed the family vacations. He liked the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. David was an AVID Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and liked antiquing and flea markets. He was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church and the Kalbfus Rod and Gun Club. Always very outgoing David loved to meet others and tell stories.
David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jacqueline Minnick Muroski. They were married on July 17, 1965 in St. Marys, PA. He is also survived by his 4 children – Vikki Lynn Carlson and her husband, Brad, of Warren, PA, Melissa Marie Burge and her husband, Dale, of Clarendon, PA, Todd David Muroski of Warren, PA, and Nikki Susann Curtis of Silver Creek, NY; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Peyton Leigh Burge, and a sister, Susann Quinn.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, PA, with Fr. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Those wishing to place a memorial may do so to the American Cancer Society, 2115 W. 38th St., Erie, PA, 16508, or to the American Diabetes Association, Two Chatham Center #1520/112 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219.

So sorry to hear about Dave. What a great guy and school mate from Austin. Always the fun guy in our class of 13 graduates in 1958. Many fun times at our basketball games and class reunions. Rest In Peace, Dave.
