David A. Heimann, 68, of Warren, PA. died Thursday morning, March 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 23, 1944 in Warren, PA. to the late Arnold Freidrick and Marian Emma Fitzgerald Heimann. David was a 1962 graduate of Warren High School and earned his associates degree in Business Management from the Lincoln Management Development Service. He was employed as a tool and die maker at the former Rexnord. He was a salesman from 1981 to 1985 for Yale Equipment and owner and operator of Heimann Enterprises from 1985 to 1991 where he sold capital equipment and retired in 1991. He and his wife operated a family owned day care center and were longtime foster parents. He was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ, past member of the Warren Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 135, Warren Eagles for 20 years and the De Molay. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wanda J. Gift Heimann whom he married August 18, 1962 in Warren, 3 Children – Sandy Koren and husband, Steve of Peoria, AZ., Robin Hecei of Brookville, PA., Peter D. Heimann of Toms River, N.J., 1 Sister – Linda Secor and husband, Richard of Warren, PA., 3 Grandsons – Justin Muir and companion, Stacie Myers, Tim and James Hecei, 1 Great Granddaughter – Elizabeth Kaydeen Muir, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters – Doris Lewis, fern Fischer, Marianne Nicholson and longtime faithful friend and companion, his yellow lab, Rusty. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM. When a funeral and committal service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. by Rev. Neil Siefert, former pastor, officiating.
