Darcy J. White, 61, of Lander, PA died Friday, January 30 at her home.
Born January 12, 1954 in Lake Placid, NY, she was the daughter of the late Randall Firth and Mary Jane Thew White. Darcy graduated from Warren Area High School in 1971 and received a BS in Geology from Allegheny College in 1975. She worked at various jobs related to seismology and was most recently Director of Mine Blasting Safety for the State of West Virginia, before returning to the Lander area. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Jay White, of Warren, PA, on July 18, 2014. She is survived by two brothers, Doug White (fiancée Terry Reinke) of Longmont, CO, and Spencer White (wife Mary Saunders) of Springfield, IL, sister-in-law Kim White of Warren, PA, nephews Jacob White, Jesse White, Mitchell White, and Ross White, and niece, Heather White.
Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Darcy’s Life on Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 3-7 PM at the Holiday Inn, 210 Ludlow St., Warren, PA. I am sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fun memories with your family on Prospect Street.
I had thought several times of trying to get in contact with Darcy but never followed through now it is too late. I will be thinking of you all as you go through this tough time.
