Daniel L. Hansen, 59, of Clarendon, PA., died Thursday, May 19, 2016, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, after an illness of the past 9 months. Dan was born in Warren, PA., and is the son of David Blum of Sheffield, PA., and the late Shirley Anderson Blum. He has resided most of his life in the Clarendon Area and was an 8 year resident at Ravenswood, West Virginia. Dan was an oil field service worker for 40 years working with Pool Oil Service and had also been employed with Berenfield Barrel Works. He was a past member of the Warren Eagles Aerie and a member of the Clarendon VFW and Warren County Dart League. He was an avid NASCAR Fan, Hunter, enjoyed 4-Wheeling, Boating and Snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandra Durlin Hansen, his father, David Blum of Sheffield, PA., 2 Children – Jennifer Hansen Albaugh and husband, Richard, Justin Hansen and wife, Margia, 1 Brother – Scott Blum and wife, Michele all of Clarendon, PA.,
4 Grandchildren – Tiffani Hansen and her companion, Mike Tenney, Taran, Tierra and Tyler Hansen, 1 Great Grandson – Hunter Tenney, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by 2 infant siblings – Tammy and David Blum.
A Celebration of Dan’s life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Clarendon Veterans of Foreign Wars Club from 4pm to 7pm.
Private interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA.
