Courtney L. Ferrie, 49, of Polk, PA, formerly of Warren, PA, passed away Monday afternoon, February 17, 2020, at Warren Manor Nursing Home, in Warren, PA after an illness beginning in November, 2019. Courtney was born August 17, 1970, in Jamestown, NY to the late Debra McArthur. She was a 1988 graduate of Warren Area High School and earned her Associates Degree in accounting from Jamestown Business College. Courtney was most recently employed as a Sales Operator with Live Ops. She will be remembered for her optimistic outlook on life, great sense of humor that brought laughter to many, and her caring heart. She will be remembered most though, as a loving mother to her two sons, whom she cared for and was more proud of than anything else.

She is survived by two sons, Christian Zavinski and Colby Steber, both of Warren, PA. She is also survived by a grandmother, Carol McArthur, of Russell, PA, an Aunt, Melissa McArthur, of Erie, PA, and by a large adopted and extended “Ferrie Family” that she will be eternally grateful to for all the love and support that she received over the course of her life.

Courtney was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Pat and Phyllis Ferrie, of Scandia, PA, whose entire family lovingly and supportively raised her. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Dennis Ferrie.

A private graveside funeral service will be conducted at Scandia Cemetery at the convenience of the family by Rev. Marcus Briggs, retired minister, officiating.
