Cordelia A. “Cookie” Skinner, 66, of Warren, PA died Friday, November 22, 2013 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. Born on January 18, 1947 in Jamestown, NY she was the daughter of the late Edson A. and Margaret Smutz Skinner. Cookie was a 1965 graduate of Eisenhower High School. She was formerly employed at New Process Co. and later as a layaway clerk for Grant’s Department Store and also at Jamesway. She was a member Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, the Eagles Club and the Warren County Stamp Club. Cookie enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, cooking, traveling, and talking with her friends. She was also a trained EMT. Cookie is survived by her longtime friend, Gordon Mathis of Warren, PA, her cat, Snowy, one brother, Aldon “Sonny” Skinner of Buffalo, NY, sister-in-law, June Skinner of Russell, PA, a step-brother, Jim (Nancy) Carlson of Lander, PA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Skinner and Edson T. “Toot” Skinner. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew R. Scott, Vicar of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
