Charlotte “Chick” Brown, 92, of Warren, PA., died peacefully Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 28, 1926 in Warren, PA., to the late Esper and Hazel Sweeting Mason. She graduated from Warren High School class of 1944. Shad lived in Las Angeles, CA and Washington, D.C., where she worked at U.S. News and World Report. She had also worked in New York City, NY with United States Postal Services. Charlotte was a member of First Lutheran Church, Warren American Legion Post 135 Ladies Auxiliary and Warren Senior Center. She enjoyed watching wild birds at her feeders and playing bingo. Charlotte also was an avid reader and lover of cats.
She is survived by her sister, Janet Hansen of Warren, PA., Great Niece, Phyllis Mathers both of Glen Bernie, MD, her nephew, Larry Mathers of Glen Bernie, MD., 3 Step Nieces in Illinois and several grand nieces and cousins.
A private graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of the family in Westview Cemetery, Starbrick. I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Chick. We loved her and visited her every year. I was not on the list to be called. RIP Aunt Chick, you were a character and lots of fun. I am a step niece from IL
